Councilman Lander Community Roundtable 3/16

Local Counilman Brad Lander joins the Cobble Hill Association for another roundtable discussion next Wednesday, March 16th. This is the 2nd year the CHA has hosted these open interactions allowing our residents to pose questions directly to area representatives.

Whether your issue is big like avoiding housing in Brookyn Bridge Park, keeping the Prospect Park West bike path, maintaining Long Island College Hospital... or something small and localized to your block or your building, this is a great opportunity to have the Councilman's assistance.

Hosted by the Cobble Hill Association, the community roundtable series is to provide an opportunity for you to meet directly with your elected officials. Millman comes from a distinguished career as an educator and has been our local Assemblywoman since 1997, authoring legislation to reform the Rockefeller Drug Laws, the Women's Health and Wellness Bill and the Safe Weapon Storage Act. She's also a continued advocate for Brooklyn Bridge Park, cleaning up the Gowanus Canal, and the fight to re-open Engine Company 204.

Assemblywoman Millman is Chair of the Assembly Committee on Election Law. She is a member of the Assembly Standing Committees on Corporations, Authorities and Commissions; Education; Labor; Transportation; and the Assembly Majority Steering Committee.

2 for 1! Community Roundtable & CHA Happy Hour

April 7th, the Cobble Hill Association will have two separate events running. As usual, the first Wednesday of the month means it's drinks discounts at Watty & Meg for the Cobble Hill Happy Hour from 6-9pm.  And we encourage you to go on the early side so you can head then walk up Kane street to Christ Church at 7:30pm for the next session of our Community Roundtable Series, this time with newly elected city council member Brad Lander as our guest.

Also, coming up....Senator Squadron invites his constituents to the second annual 25th Senate District Community Convention, on Sunday, April 11th at 2:00 p.m.  Last year, more than 400 people came to talk about their thoughts and ideas on legislative and community priorities.

Community Round Table POSTPONED

Unfortunately, the Cobble Hill Association's Community Roundtable with State Senator Daniel Squadron, that was to be held at 7:30 PM on Monday, November 23rd, must be Re-Scheduled.

The State Legislature is being called back next week to vote on the state budget so State Senator Daniel Squadron will not be available. We are re-scheduling the Roundtable and will let you know the new date as soon as possible.

This will be the first of a series of "Community Roundtable" meetings hosted by the Cobble Hill Association to provide an opportunity for you to meet directly with your elected officials. We are honored that our first guest will be State Senator Daniel Squadron. This will be an informal meeting where you can discuss any issue or concern directly with Senator Squadron.
