So there is no misconception, these are not window units but AC compressors bolted permanently into the wall with power wiring and refrigerant piping leading from them. This is a very dangerous precedent to allow these units, which are becoming more common, to be installed on street facades in an historic district. We urge the CHA to become involved in this issue.
